DISCRIMINATION ON THE BASIS OF CLOTHING OR CLUB MEMBERSHIP IS ILLEGAL

Section 2.1-716 of the Code of Virginia provides that the policy of the Commonwealth of Virginia is "to safe guard all individuals within Commonwealth of Virginia from unlawful discrimination because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, marital status or disability in places of public accommodation... to preserve the public safety, health and general welfare, and to further the interests, rights and privileges of individuals within the Commonwealth". Section 2.1-716 also states, "conduct, which violates Virginia statute or regulation governing discrimination or Title 7 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended.. shall be an `unlawful discriminatory practice"'.
